Fancy Dress Friday
This year the theme is Victorian. A number of our staff will be getting their top hat and tails, bonnets and petticoats on and visitors are encouraged to join in! Our venue, Kelham Island Museum, is on the actual island created to help the River Don power industry over 900 years ago.
Access is via the drive off Alma Street, by Kelham Island Brewery and the Fat Cat pub. There is no car parking on site but there are limited on street spaces nearby.

Tram
The nearest tram stop is Shalesmoor, a 5 minute walk away, the museum is signposted from here. The Blue and Yellow tram routes serve Shalesmoor, with the Blue route providing a direct link from Sheffield rail station and the Yellow route providing a direct link from Meadowhall Interchange. Bus
The nearest bus stops are either Nursery Street, by the Harlequin pub (routes 3, 7, 8) or Gibraltar Street, by Shakespeare’s pub (routes 57, 61, 62, 81, 82, 85, 86). For more information visit travelsouthyorkshire.com.[icon name=fa-train size=2x]
Train
Trams operate to Shalesmoor from both Sheffield and Meadowhall stations, see tram section above.[icon name=fa-bus size=2x]
Coach (National Express/Megabus)
From Meadowhall Interchange the Yellow route tram operates direct to Shalesmoor (see tram section above). From Sheffield Interchange bus 57 runs hourly, alternatively it is a 25 minute walk to the festival from here.
