Crossfield Tavern, Mortomley Lane, High Green

Sheffield Council’s planning board has approved proposals for the Crossfield Tavern, (Mortomley Lane, High Green) to be converted into a house. The applicant said the pub’s owners, Punch Taverns, had struggled to find a tenant to make the venue viable. Planning officers said: “The plans show no alterations to the building and, as such, it is considered there will be no impact on the street scene. As a single dwelling, it would have less impact on the locality than the current pub.”
