The Hare & Hounds in Barlow has reopened after being closed for at least 6 years. The old landlady closed the pub and retired before Covid and the pub got put on the market during Covid after she sadly passed away with local expectation of it being converted to fully residential use. The pub hadn’t changed in many years and was listed in CAMRA’s heritage inventory for its interior. Prior to reopening the pub has had significant renovations and refurbishment losing all the heritage and now has a smart, modern look, however actually being open as a pub is something of a win! There are two cask ales available on the bar.
