New pub heritage walk booklet launched
The fourth booklet in our pub heritage walk series is now available. Sponsored by Abbeydale Brewery and Kelham Island Brew Co, this publication concentrates on Kelham Island. Included are copious images, a map, detail on the various pubs featured and lots of information on the area and its history, including a timeline. The formal launch will be at the forthcoming Steel City 50 Beer & Cider Festival (21–24 October 2026).
With an RRP of £2.99 and a print-run of 1000 copies, the new full-colour A5 booklet is slightly longer than its predecessors at 34 pages. It is currently available from several local stockists, including: Abbeydale Brewery, Barrel and Anvil, Biblioteka, the Crow, Draughtsman (Doncaster Railway Station), Famous Sheffield Shop, Hop Hideout, Kelham Island Books and Records, Kelham Island Museum, Millennium Gallery, National Emergency Services Museum, the Old Shoe, Rhyme and Reason, St.Mars of the Desert Taproom and Weston Park Museum.
The first two booklets are sold out and there are a dwindling number of the 2025 Neepsend booklet. The Sheffield Pub Heritage Walk series will continue with Riverside in 2027 and Hillsbrough in 2028.
