Not happy with this pub on many occasions over the last few months there as been no stones beer this is happening as we have been told no stones from tues to friday
I was drinking in the raiway pub in 1963 landlady was vera gillott best pub in brightside
Noisy pub and crowd from wincobank pub which closed last year seem to have taken over pub loud music played in both rooms can’t talk some even smoke and no one stops them pity snooker table was taken out I had some good nights playing on it no more so go elsewhere pity it’s the only pub serving this area have to go long way to get a drink
Hi used this pub for over 40 years and never had any problems of any kind but recently a gang of people from nearby pub have taken it over and play music from games room into lounge and some smoke vapes anywhere in pub I have checked this and by law they shouldn’t smoke either vapes or cigs
Found out that beer etc are going up again this is the 4 th time since new owners took over I know times are hard but this is killing the only pub that is convieniant in the area
So the Railway is still going!….we lived in Dearne St and my father. a steelworker, was a ‘regular’ in the 1940’s’ Present day customers should be grateful…it was narrowly missed by a landmine during the war. The snooker table was on the first floor if I remember. And the ‘gents’ was outside and roofless. I assume there was a ‘ladies’ somewhere.
Very noise on Friday night towards end of month people seem to serve themselves smoking and swearing very loud kids come and go from outside into games room and lounge no one corrects them otherwise a friendly pub when above doesn’t happen
Again visiting the railway we found this time the people who usually go in back room where juke box is had moved into the lounge and took it over nothing wrong with that but they had music on very loud and 4 of them vaping and 3 kids in till 11pm swearing in front of kids
